The energy contained in dry biomass is easier to exploit, by means of thermochemical processes such as combustion, pyrolysis or gasificacion.1 retrieved energy efficiency tends to be high. In the table below are indicated the products obtained in this exploitation, notably heat (for heating systems, boilers, etc), the electricity obtained (steam under great pressure by pretending a turbine connected to an electrical generator), hot water vapor, or different fuels (methanol, methane).

In this case used processes bioquimicos1 of transformation, with lower energy efficiency and processing times longer. They have more interest ecological (many are polluting substances) to the own energy use.
